Sermon 1: "When Dreams Become Nightmares"

For most people, the American Dream has to do with a desire for achieving success and satisfying the desire for material possessions.  It is the opportunity to pursue more than we have, to gain more than we have, and to meet success.  We tend to measure success by the stuff that we possess.

Adam Hamilton says that the American Dream has become an American Nightmare due to two distinct but related illnesses that affect us both socially and spiritually.  They are "Affluenza" and "Credit-itis".

Fortunately, there is a cure for these illnesses.  Join me in worship on September 29 at 8:45 or 11:00 to hear about the cure.
