    faire 2

Please join us on Saturday, October 21, between 9:00 and 2:00 for a Faire to Remember in the Fellowship Hall.  The faire supports LUMC’s Fellowship, Kitchen, and Hospitality teams.

This is an opportunity to find unique gifts from a variety of vendors.  The Faire offers chic merchandise like LuLaRoe, Texture, Pampered Chef, Usborne Books, Monkey See, Thirty One, and more.  We also have the work of local artists.  Meanwhile, two of our finest cooks are preparing lunch, including BBQ, as well as other yummy treats.

And please help us get the word out—tell all your friends!  SHARE US ON FACEBOOK (We’re at larchmontumc.  Click on Events and then Share.)

For handy pumpkin shopping, the pumpkin patch opens at 10:00 on Saturdays.

Thank you for supporting the many missions of Larchmont United Methodist Church.

Larchmont United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch is open!  Thank you to the Old Dominion University Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams, Old Dominion University Football Team, the Old Dominion University Sigma Nu Fraternity, Boy Scout Troop 24, Girl Scout Troop 505, LUMC’s congregation and many others! We unloaded over 3,000 pumpkins in under 2 hours- and in the pouring rain!

We now turn our attention to the selling of the pumpkins.  We need a number of people to staff the Pumpkin Patch throughout the month of October.  The patch normally opens between 10 AM and 6 PM Monday through Saturday and opens from noon to 6 PM on Sundays.  The patch must close and does not generate income whenever we don’t have anyone signed up to work a shift.  Please consider signing up for one or more 2 hour shifts this month.  The work is easy and can be a great opportunity to meet members of the congregation that might be new to you.  You can sign up on the bulletin board located in the Narthex or online at SignUp.com using this link:  http://signup.com/go/LowaqWq

We also have a need for baked goods to sell along with the pumpkins.  Please consider donating baked goods to be sold at the Pumpkin Patch.  100% of bake sale proceeds will support the efforts of the LUMC Missions Committee.

Thank you for your continued support of this year’s Pumpkin Patch.

The Pumpkin Patch will be open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm during the month of October.

  • 8:45 a.m. – Worship Service

Our “early” service is a mildly abbreviated form of our 11:00 worship, but contains all the traditional elements of worship, with prayers, praise and singing.  This service is held in our newly consecrated Gwinn Chapel, located on Larchmont Crescent.

    9:45 a.m. – Emergent Worship Service

This service, held in the newly renovated Fellowship Hall, is Post-Contemporary and modern in musical style.  It brings together secular culture and the sacred to provide a vibrant, ever-changing, and always contextually relevant experience.  Be prepared to move.  All ages are welcome.

    11:00 a.m. – Worship Service

This traditional service features traditional liturgy, a message, and the music of our chancel choir and organ.

Communion is offered one Sunday a month.  The Lord’s Table is open to any and all; membership in the church is NOT required to receive communion.
