  • Make Your Voice Heard!

Want to feel invested in LUMC?  Want to help shape the future of LUMC?  Want to see new programs, new ministries, and new missions?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Strategic Planning Team wants to hear from you.

Over the next 6-8 weeks you will have an opportunity to take part in four surveys concerning LUMC’s member participation, ministry, culture, and outreach programs.  Electronic surveys will be available through Survey Monkey, eLight or the links below. In addition to those avenues, a computer will be available after the 8:45 and 9:45 services as well as some Sunday School classes.  Don’t have access to a computer?  Paper surveys will be available in the church office after the 8:45 and 11:00 services.

The SPT is asking that you complete the Outreach survey by August 12.

If you haven’t completed the Participation or Ministry survey, please see the links below.

    Red Cross Blood Drive

Our summer Red Cross Blood Drive will take place on August 2 from 2-7 pm in the Social Hall. Please join us this summer to give the gift of life! Our blood drive is one of the more successful small drives in our area. It is a great opportunity to fellowship with church members and neighbors. For information, call Traci Shepard 623-0863 or email

  • 8:45 a.m. – Worship Service

Our “early” service is a mildly abbreviated form of our 11:00 worship, but contains all the traditional elements of worship, with prayers, praise and singing.  This service is held in our newly consecrated Gwinn Chapel, located on Larchmont Crescent.

    9:45 a.m. – Emergent Worship Service

This service, held in the newly renovated Fellowship Hall, is Post-Contemporary and modern in musical style.  It brings together secular culture and the sacred to provide a vibrant, ever-changing, and always contextually relevant experience.  Be prepared to move.  All ages are welcome.

    11:00 a.m. – Worship Service

This traditional service features traditional liturgy, a message, and the music of our chancel choir and organ.

Communion is offered one Sunday a month.  The Lord’s Table is open to any and all; membership in the church is NOT required to receive communion.
