Pumpkin Patch Update – Calling all bakers!

Pumpkins, gourds of all shapes and sizes were delivered to the front door of LUMC on Sunday, October 5th.

In conjunction with the pumpkin patch we also run a bake sale.  The profits from the pumpkins go to global missions; the profits from the baked items go to our local mission.  We will be selling baked goods throughout the month.  We can anticipate that the weekends will be the busiest for sales, with the holiday as well being potentially high volume.  If currently you are unsure of what dates to sign up for that is fine.  We have a minimum number we would like daily, but find that additional pastries and baked items are always popular.  The pumpkin patch and bake sale will run through October 31st.

To volunteer to work in the pumpkin patch or to provide goodies for the bake sale you can sign up on the big board located in the Narthex this Sunday or by using VolunteerSpot (directions below).

  •  8:45 a.m. – Worship Service

Our “early” service is a mildly abbreviated form of our 11:00 worship, but contains all the traditional elements of worship, with prayers, praise and singing.  This service is held in our newly consecrated Gwinn Chapel, located on Larchmont Crescent.

    11:00 a.m. – Worship Service

This traditional service features traditional liturgy, a message, and the music of our chancel choir and organ.

Communion is offered one Sunday a month.  The Lord’s Table is open to any and all; membership in the church is NOT required to receive communion.

Bible Verse of the Day
